Common questions
What should be on a launch checklist?
Every task that has to happen before go-live, each with an owner and a due date, grouped by workstream — product, marketing, support, legal. Unowned tasks are the ones that get missed.
How far ahead should launch planning start?
Work backwards from the launch date, not forwards from today. The longest-lead item — usually legal review, a press embargo or a partner dependency — sets when planning has to begin.
Should I track post-launch tasks here too?
Yes. The first two weeks after launch carry the monitoring, support-readiness and follow-up comms that decide whether the launch actually landed, and they get dropped if the checklist stops at go-live.
