Airtable Dashboard & Live Metrics
One table (or a view of it) from an Airtable base, re-synced on a schedule. Every field becomes a column.
Airtable connects to DataHub Pro with an API token or key you paste in and gives you 1 live metrics (Rows Synced) and a dataset that refreshes in place, refreshed daily (hourly available). Setup is 4 steps and takes a few minutes.
Once connected, one click builds a live dashboard from it, the numbers land in My Metrics with history and alerts, and you can ask Claude or ChatGPT about them through the built-in MCP server. No CSV exports, no re-uploads.
What you get
Metrics it tracks
- Rows Synced — a saved metric with history, a sparkline, goals and alerts.
The dataset
A dataset in Files that is replaced in place on every sync. The file id never changes, so a dashboard pointed at it is a live dashboard, a metric defined on it is a live metric, and a scheduled report built on it sends fresh numbers.
How to connect Airtable
- In Airtable click your avatar → Developer hub → Personal access tokens → Create token (or go to airtable.com/create/tokens).
- Under Scopes add data.records:read; under Access add the base you want to sync. Create it and copy the token (starts with pat).
- Open the base. Its URL looks like airtable.com/appXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/tblYYYYYYYYYYYYYY/… — the app… part is the Base ID; the table can be given by name or by its tbl… id.
- Paste the token, base id and table (and a view name if you only want some records). The first sync runs now.
What the app asks for
| Personal access token | airtable.com/create/tokens → Create token. Scope data.records:read, access to this base. pat… |
|---|---|
| Base ID | The app… part of the base URL. appXXXXXXXXXXXXXX |
| Table | The table's name exactly as shown, or its tbl… id. Orders |
| View (optional) | Optional — sync only the records this view shows, in its order. Grid view |
What you can build on it
- A live dashboard in one click — every metric becomes a card with its value, change since last sync and a sparkline; a dataset gets the auto-built dashboard. Share it by link, embed it, or put it on a TV.
- Goals and alerts — set a target on any metric and get an email when it crosses a line or moves more than 10%.
- Scheduled reports — a branded weekly or monthly report that sends itself with the latest numbers.
- Ask your data — a grounded AI analyst in the app, and the same data available to Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server.

Questions
Does connecting Airtable need OAuth or an app approval?
No. Airtable connects with an API token or key you paste in. There is no OAuth app to register, no review queue and nothing to install. Credentials are encrypted before they reach the database and are never displayed again.
How often does Airtable data refresh?
By default daily. You can set every hour, every six hours, daily per connection, and there is a Sync now button for the moment you want it. Every sync replaces the dataset in place, so any dashboard, metric or scheduled report built on it simply shows the new numbers.
Is the Airtable connector free?
Uploading files and building dashboards is free. Live connectors — sources that refresh themselves — are on the Pro plan at $19.99 per seat, which includes every connector on this page, unlimited dashboards, scheduled reports and white-label sharing. Databox charges $159 a month for the equivalent tier.
