Common questions

What should a lead score be based on?

Two things kept separate: fit (are they the right kind of company) and intent (are they showing buying behaviour). A perfect-fit lead doing nothing and a poor-fit lead requesting a demo need different responses, and one blended number hides that.

How do I pick the point weights?

Start from your closed-won deals and see which attributes they actually shared. Weights invented in a meeting encode what the room believes rather than what the data shows.

When should I recalibrate the model?

Quarterly, or whenever the ICP or pricing changes. Scoring models decay quietly — they keep producing numbers long after those numbers stopped predicting anything.
